Great day for the Honda Team Asia with two riders on the podium in Moto2. The indonesian Somkiat Chantra and the Japanese Ai Ogura have surrendered only to the Italian Celestino Vietti. Now Chantra is 3rd in ths Championship, Ogura 4th! This is the result of the good work done by the team on the young asian riders.
In Moto3, in his first race in the World Championship, the 16-year-old Japanese youngster Taiyo Furusato finished close to the points positions. The indonesian Mario Aji was riding close to his teammate, but a small problem relegated him to the 21st position at the end of the race. A really encouraging result for MIVV and HONDA that are committed together in the growth of the young Asian riders.

“I’m happy to be finally here. After the injury, I have had a quick comeback, thanks to the job of a great team of doctors, physiotherapists, and trainers.
In the race, my lap time has been better than qualifying. This fact is essential for me. But the top group was too fast for me at this moment. I need to get experience to be as fast as them, especially during the first laps of the race. The races in World Championship are stronger than I expected, but in any case, I’m happy to be here and the overall result of this weekend.”

In Moto3, Today’s race wasn’t easy for our young riders. Mario did a good start, but a minor issue during the race prevented him from performing as he could. About Taiyo, he did a good job, considering his age and his injury. Twenty-one laps were a long race for him, but he managed well. That was his first race. We mustn’t remember that both are young and rookies, and they need to accumulate experience race by race.”
