Corridas

The Honda Team Asia is second with Ogura in Moto2. Now, the Japanese rider is second in the championship with 56 points while his teammate Chantra is fifth with 45 points.
In Moto3, Furusato, who rode an intelligent and consistent race, benefited from his rivals’ multiple crashes to finish 16th. For his part, Aji lost a lot of speed on the long straight at Austin, and despite recovering under braking, he finished behind.

MOTO3: MARIO SURYO AJI #64
Grid P29 – Race P21

That was a tough race, but I take the positives from today, which was that after Friday and Saturday, this was the best I felt all weekend, with much more confidence in my bike. I felt great on the bike, even though I was losing a lot of time in acceleration and on the straights, so to keep with the riders in front of me, I had to work very hard on the braking points and the exits. It’s a shame because we had no luck qualifying, so we started from the back, which made the race quite difficult. I now look forward to Portimao and Jerez, where I’m sure we can have a better weekend than we had here in Austin.

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid P25 – Race P16

The feeling was not good until today’s race, when I could keep some good lap times until the end, staying close to some of the best riders, so this is not so bad. I was quite close to scoring some points, but also a lot of riders in front of me crashed, so that was what got me close to the points, more than my riding. Anyway, I hope to fight with the top group – I have some things to improve so I can improve my lap times, so I will do my best to do this for the next races.

Hiroshi Aoyama – Team Manager

The wind complicated, even more, a race that was themselves difficult for our riders. It mainly affected Mario, losing a lot of speed on the long straight, and he couldn’t fight as good as he could. He was satisfied with the bike, which means our staff did a good job. He’s on the way. Taiyo did a brilliant job, considering his injury. In terms of position, he was 16th. He still needs to get a lot of experience to get more knowledge. They are young and need more experience; the next station is Portimao, where they have tested. I want to thank all the support, and we will try to do it better next race.
