The curtain opened, this weekend, at Lusail International Circuit, for the MotoGP World Championship 2024.
MIVV and Honda renewed their partnership in Moto3 class for the fourth consecutive year by giving continuity to the project started in 2021: supporting the growth of the young Asian talents.
The Qatar GP saw a brilliant performance of Taiyo Furusato. The Japanese rider, after starting from the eighteenth position on the grid, fought throughout the entire race in the top group with a series of breathtaking overtakes. Taiyo got the third final position, celebrating his second podium in career in Moto3 World Championship, showing determination and his potential as a formidable contender on the track.
Good weekend also for his teammate Tatchakorn Buasri. The Thai rider, who debuted last year as wild card with the same team, closed his first race, as official rider, nineteenth, which marks an important moment for him to start to build confidence on the bike.
An excellent start of the season for the Honda team Asia and MIVV.

I am thrilled to be back on the podium in the first race of the season. I deeply appreciate the effort of my team in fine-tuning the bike’s settings, which played a pivotal role in our success. I am committed to maintaining this momentum throughout the season, and I am hopeful that we can replicate this achievement in the upcoming races.

I’m happy but not totally satisfied with my race. I expected that I could be a bit more up, but well we completed the race. We need to work hard for the next race to be totally adapted to the tires and setting of the bike and fight for upper positions in Portugal.

Despite starting in the 18th and 24th positions, our riders showcased an exceptional performance. They gained a lot of positions in the initial laps, demonstrating remarkable skill and determination. Tatchakorn completed the race, something that holds significant importance for his confidence with the bike, while Taiyo’s outstanding race management in navigating battles with fellow riders culminated in a commendable third-place finish.
