The Moto3 Honda team Asia lined up three riders this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the sixth round of the season: the Indonesian wildcard Fadillah Arbi Aditama joined the Japanese Taiyo Furusato and the Thai rookie Tatchakorn Buasri and for Arbi this was the second appearance as a wildcard for the team (the first in 2023 for the Indonesian GP).

The weekend started well for Furusato who showed a good feeling from the first free practice day, while Buasri started to feel more comfortable on the bike.

In the qualifying, Taiyo got the 4th position on the grid, but in the last session of practice he got a double long lap penalty to be paid in the race. Tatchakorn showed some improvements and managed to finish in 22th position. Meanwhile the wildcard Fadillah Arbi Aditama got the 27th time.

In the race Furusato made a good start and managed to stay in the top group by showing his competitiveness. Unfortunately he crashed after discounting his second long lap penalty, ending his chances in the race. Tatchakorn Buasri, also serving a long lap penalty, maintained his pace and finished in 22nd position. The wildcard Fadillah Arbi Aditama completed his second World Championship race, finishing in 23rd position.

Next stop in a few days in the amazing circuit of Mugello!

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid P4– Race DNF

furusato 2024

Unfortunately, I experienced a crash in turn four after serving a double long lap penalty. However, there are positives to take away from this situation. The race started promisingly, and I quickly regained my position at the front after the penalties. I felt fast and competitive, which allowed me to overtake many riders.
We demonstrated strength today, and I aim to maintain this momentum in the next race at Mugello. It’s clear that I have the speed and competitiveness to perform well. Let’s continue working hard, as this effort will eventually yield the desired results.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid P22 – Race 22

buasri 2024

Today’s race in Barcelona was tough. Despite making some good overtakes and feeling competitive, an incident on the first lap caused me to lose contact with the group in front of me. Additionally, having to serve a long lap penalty made it even harder to achieve a good result.
We need to continue working hard and push from the beginning to secure better outcomes. The team put in a significant effort, but we need to do more to establish a solid performance from the first day on the track. I am committed to giving my best for a strong race next Sunday in Mugello.

MOTO3: FADILLAH ARBI ADITAMA #93
Grid P27- Race 23

aditama 2024

Today, the feeling on the bike was much better than yesterday. I managed the pace well and tried to follow the riders in front of me. Unfortunately, at the start of the race, I made a few mistakes which caused me to lose some distance with the group in front.
Later, I had a touch with other riders while attempting to gain more positions. This is not the result I was hoping for, but I promise to work hard to seize another opportunity like this in the future.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

Today’s Moto3 race proved to be a tough challenge for our riders. We had three competitors on the grid: Taiyo Furusato, who started in 4th position, Tatchakorn Buasri in 22nd, and wildcard Fadillah Arbi Aditama in 27th.
The race began well, particularly for Furusato, who managed to stay with the top group and rode competitively. However, he faced a double long lap penalty, causing him to drop several positions. Despite this setback, Furusato made an impressive effort to rejoin the leading group. Unfortunately, after serving the second long lap penalty, he made a mistake and crashed. It’s disappointing because Furusato had the pace to achieve a strong result today.
Tatchakorn Buasri finished in 22nd position, while Fadillah Arbi Aditama concluded the race in 23rd. There was a significant gap between them and the riders ahead, highlighting the need for improvement. It was not an easy race for either Buasri or Aditama, and they must learn from their mistakes to enhance their performance in upcoming races.
