The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve hosted the second round of the MotoGP World Championship. The Honda Team Asia arrived in Portugal with lots of expectations after the great result achieved in Qatar, with the third place of Furusato.
On the opening day of the weekend both riders found some difficulties due to bad track conditions. The second day the situation improved but Furusato and Buasri didn’t find the right feeling with the bike and were forced to start from backward positions.
The race was tough for the Honda Asia team riders: on the one hand Taiyo struggled to find the pace to stay with the group fighting for points, by crossing the finishing line 18th. Despite the final result the Japanese rider has already demonstrated to have the potential to fight for important results.
On the other hand Tatchakorn successfully completed the race getting the 21st position. The Thai rider needs to feel more comfortable on the bike but he is gaining experience, which will be useful for the next races.
Now, a couple of weeks of rest before flying overseas again for the GP of the Americas, scheduled for mid-April.

Grid P21– Race 18
This weekend didn’t unfold as we had hoped, especially in terms of results. It’s crucial to acknowledge what occurred and extract valuable lessons from it. We must identify the underlying issues and make necessary improvements for the upcoming race in the United States. We must be honest with ourselves. Over the next few days, our focus will be on learning from our mistakes and ensuring we don’t repeat it. Let’s remain positive that things will take a turn in Austin, reminiscent of the positive outcome we achieved in the first GP in Lusail. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported us, and I am determined to deliver a strong performance in the next race.

Grid P23– Race 21
Today’s race in Portugal was tough for me. I’m still getting used to riding with this tire, and I felt like I lost grip at times, making it hard to control the bike throughout the race. Looking forward to the next race in Austin, I hope to feel more comfortable with the bike and my riding style. I’ll do my best to ride better, work on specific areas, and learn to manage the bike more effectively. Thanks to all for your support. See you in America!

This Moto3 race has been a tough one for us. Despite both riders initially making promising gained some positions at the start, their pace throughout the race proved insufficient to close the gap with the leading group, limiting their ability to advance further. Furusato began the race from the 21st grid position and finished in 18th place, while Buasri started from 23rd and concluded in 21st. It was undeniably a demanding weekend for us. Nonetheless, it is imperative that we thoroughly analyze our performance this week to identify areas for improvement ahead of future races. We extend our gratitude to our supporters, sponsors, and staff for their unwavering dedication and contributions. We’re going to keep working hard and try to improve for next GP in America.
